Agreed to play in the 2015 game and one more year TBD.

I don't know that 2 years really qualifies as "affiliation" in my book, but we're nowl bowl-affiliated.

It would naturally have an escalator clause if BYU were invited to the CFP or one of its access bowls.

Scott715, Is it rumored to have an escalator clause OUTSIDE the CFP? Ie, if BYU finishes with 10+ wins (or ranked in the top-15...or whatever) but is not selected for the CFP, then BYU is eligible for the Holiday Bowl (or something like that)?

DJ mentioned a 9 win escalator clause when he asked the question to Holmoe who didn't refute it but just asked him where he heard that. Made it sound like at 9 or more wins there is a possible higher bowl option by one of the other ESPN bowls. Doesn't sound like a BCS bowl. Also doesn't sound like it is finalized.

I highly doubt it. Fans want that, but bowls won't agree with it. We aren't Notre Dame- We're beggars, not choosers.
