Brathwaite should be disqualified from the list based solely on the fact that he got suspended before the Utah game (0-3). He would have been the only offense for us that day. We really needed him.

It did move him down, but wasn't enough to get him completely off the list.

1973 was my freshman year, and I remember those games well. I remember sitting in the stands (in the card-stunt section) and watching in amazement as Miller set the NCAA single-game receiving record. I also remember well the Iowa State game.



The Cougars were down by 9 points with about a minute left, and everyone was leaving the game. I remember telling all my friends to hang in there, anything could happen. It did: The Cougars scored a touchdown on a long bomb, and then recovered an on-side kick. They then appeared to have scored on another long bomb, only to have it called back on a penalty. They then proceeded to work down the field on sideline routes for a few plays until they were inside the 10, and they set up for a field goal on the last play of the game. :crazy: The field goal was missed. :sulk:
