Phil does not seem sold on our QB situation.

That's cause he got on this site and read all your new qb this, new qb that. Sheesh. Naysayer.

I'm not sold on our QB situation either. We have one QB who appears talented but who is recovering from knee injuries and is surrounded by rumors that he's stuffed some set backs. But he denies them, but hasn't this week taught us not to believe a QB when he talks about his injuries?



A backup also suffered a knee injury and may not be back and fully ready. We have another backup who is completely inexperienced.



BYU' s QB situation is completely surrounded by question marks. I think there are answers on the roster, but I don't know they get answers this year.



Last year I believed the same thing and several questions remained unanswered. Fool me once...

Kickers - not sold



Returner - sold on Falslev for punt and kick returns, although it would not surprise me if someone else ends up returning kick offs.

May as well throw in Mangum, as well. He at least has one year in the program, such as it was. But if Hill and Olson are hurt, who knows who will win the battle.

I guess competition for these prestigious Independent Conference Awards got tougher in 2013 with Old Dominion hanging out with us for two years now that they left the lower division to move up a division, but need to wait two years at which time they will begin CUSA play. Long waiting line - I guess - I think the wait is for the teams bailing to AAC who are waiting for AAC teams bailing to ACC or something like that.



And then Idaho and NMSU left homeless by the WAC implosion hang out with us for 1 year waiting to join The Sunbelt Conference.



And, unless they changed their mind, Navy may still be in a holding pattern waiting to join AAC in a year or two.



Then it will be just ND, BYU, and Army and we should get more nominations by 2015.

It shouldn't matter that NMSU, Idaho, Old Dominion are included with this group. All of our position groups should have better players then these teams. It's kind of sad that BYU or Notre Dame don't have the 1st team QB.

It shouldn't matter yet the little guys had players ahead of some of our players in several spots.
