Implications of Cougar Fan Fest

I see that Anae and KVN are visiting St. George, Provo and teaming with Bronco in Sandy - attempt to revitalize fan base, connect with in-state recruits, court donors, etc. Sounds like a good first step but wonder why they don't take the tour on the road to areas where they want to recruit or have good out-of-state fan base (I.e. Texas, California, Arizona, NW - Seattle, Portland...).

Hopefully this is just a baby step. I absolutely agree that Bronco, Anae, and friends should connect with alumni and fan base in California, Texas, Arizona, and Portland/Seattle. They wouldn't need to have events at the same places every year, but a three year event schedule could look like this:



2014 - LA-San Diego-Phoenix-Las Vegas

2015 - Seattle-Portland-San Francisco

2016 - Denver-Dallas-Houston



Someone send the agenda to Tom and Bronco.

It's a local thing to attracts local attention. Gotta lockdown your back yard first.



About time BYU started doing some of this community outreach stuff. They needed to start this like 4 years ago before Utah entered the PAC. Playing some catch up now, but at least doing it.



I doubt they go out of state, but if they do, perhaps Vegas, LA and Phoenix and Dallas are good enough.

Like Lawboy's suggestion about the listed cities - seems like they should also focus on meeting the HS coaches or putting on some QA - coaching clinics in order to establish some connections and pipelines to outstanding players.
