BYU, Rutgers, Kentucky, and WV sent him tons of mail too, but in the end asked him to walk on..., New Hampshire and Maine are his only scholarship offers so he will probably go to Maine a season then on his mission. Most say he'll translate to a Wes Welker type in College. He's a vicious defender and a natural CB but Maine wants his skills on O.

So I was watching these highlights in youtube and thinking that all the players were moving really fast for their size. But then it was looking like the film was sped up a little. Look at the fans in the audience on the play that start at the 2:17 mark. Looks sped up to me.

His speed is proven, he is undersized, read the article, at Rutgers this summer he was clocked at at 4.49.



If the video is sped up it's not intentional, and how does that bare on players he's running by or the 40 yd dash at every camp or track season? Or cuts, broken tackles, etc? 30 TDs, 7 interceptions etc explains itself. He's fast....

Here is some info on Josh Weeks that I posted in another thread....



I live in the Show Low area and follow SL football closely. The Weeks kid is absolutley the real deal. A legit 6'4 with extremely long arms and huge hands...will top out at 6'5-6'6...and somewhere in the 210-220 lb range. He lacks the open field moves and quickness but has tremendous excelleration (4.6 40yd as a soph)...he was the 3rd leg on AZ's 3rd fastest 400m relay team. Has improved getting off the ball and is extremely physical. A lot of top teams tried to jam him and he destroyed them time and time again. He will only get bigger, faster, and stronger and I see his ability to make plays after the catch really get better. Right now he just beats people up at the line and out runs everybody over the top. Has great intangibles....4.0 student, great family, and a tremendous work ethic and desire to get better. He's not a bad hoopster...1st team all region as a frosh and led the region in rebounding. If BYU's keeps the same system, you could see this kid become one of BYU's all time greats in 5-6 years (dont forget he still has 2 years left and his mission).

How many top 30 recruiting classes has BYU ever had, according to Max? None? so who cares what he thinks. I like our recruits, and so does everybody else, it seems. We have a lot of talent, let's be happy about that. And frankly, like in basketball, I really don't care if BYU is ever ranked in the top 10, I just want to enjoy it when we beat top 10 teams.

I expect BYU to focus on the secondary next year in recruiting. We need more depth there for the future. Is this Zeger kid LDS? Love his size and speed for the safety spot.

I found the highlight reel for Josh Weeks on youtube. Just remember this kid is only a sophmore playing in one of the tougher regions in AZ and led the state in every important recieving category.
