Tyler Haws Nominated as Breakout Star for next year

"EB: While we're on the subject of the WCC, allow me to officially nominate BYU's Tyler Haws. Haws came back from his LDS mission three seasons after his true freshman year (2009-10) and looked like he'd never missed a practice. He shot 51 percent from 2, 38 percent from 3 and 88 percent from the free throw line and made the best forgotten would-be game winner of the year just before Matthew Dellavedova's much more famous 40-foot leaner. He'll have just as many touches, and probably much more attention, in his junior season.



"MM: Haws? I'll take him, especially since both Saint Mary's and Gonzaga are resetting rosters and losing so much talent."

I don't get the love-fest with Pangos. He's an above-average PG at best. Other than camp out at the 3 point line, what can/does he do? He plays PG like Cusick.



Carlino averages more rebounds, more assists and just 0.4 points less per game than Pangos. Pangos shot 42.6% from the field while Carlino shot 40.8%. Throw in the fact Pangos can't play defense for the life of him and has absolutely no ability to create and IMO he's one of the most overrated PGs in NCAA hoops.

Ya and something tells me that Rose wouldn't kick him off our team since BYU doesnt have a spot up shooter at the 2spot. He will have to be more active next year as all the stars are gone. He's not as good as the press he got, but not as bad as some paint him here on CC.
