TE Dalton Schultz

Scout has Bingham H.S. Dalton Schultz, TE, 6' 5", 230 lbs, rated #1 for his position. He's listed as a 4 star, 15 schollies in hand, he lists Stanford as "High Interest", and BYU as "Med Interest."



Does anyone have any scoop about Dalton? Does the Y even have a chance?

Stanford makes a great athletic and academic pitch.



One downside of BYU being the best academic VALUE in the country by far is that schools like Stanford point out the $400-500K value of spending 5 years there Vs the $100K value of 5 years in Provo. Duke - same compelling combo pitch of academics and athletics in basketball.



We all know the value of the BYU experience far exceeds the bargain price tag - but if an athlete has an elitist bone in their athletic body - the pitch has a strong pull.

If my kids somehow ended up with the opportunity to play college ball and they chose Stanford or Notre Dame I'd be just fine with it. Any where else except for BYU and they'd get a talkin too.



If there are any schools to lose a recruit to, Stanford would hurt the least. (Especially because they'd still get to be a part of sending the Utes to a losing season.)
