So who's going to the game Tuesday?

I'm not detecting much conversation around here about the game Tuesday vs. UW. Anyone else going?



I watched a lot of this season's games on TV instead of in person, but I've never been to a post season tournament game, so I'm going with my son and son-in-law. If BYU does win, then I think I'll go to the 2nd game. I don't have the expectation that we WILL win, but I think we CAN win. It all depends which team shows up.

I've debated on going. Still not sure.

I've got a socer league game at 6:30 in Lindon. I don't think I can make the game. But I'm going to try to make the 2nd round game.

I thought about it, hoping to see our younger kids play. But then I read this last part from Rose, and decided that I would rather not waste the gas on watching Cusick and Zylstra "play defense" or Davies let a guard walk in and get an offensive rebound right in front of him.



I'll just watch it on tv, and try to pretend like I don't care, and try to pretend like I won't be in a bad mood when they blow another game against a not very good opponent. It IS cool to see that BYU (and it's huge fan base and large stadium) actually has some pull with the NIT to get a couple home games lined up, though.

It's going to be embarassing on the fans if we don't sell at least 14K in tickets. I have to believe we got this 3 seed based on who were are as fans. I just got two tickets in the blue chairs (lower bowl) vs. Washington for $10 each. I paid $30/each for seats more toward the end in the regular season. This is a bargin.



Come on BYU fans. If you could all make it to final game of the season and sell the place out, then let's get out when our numbers really matter nationally and show folks we are the Cougars. I'm just as guilty staying to my comfortable recliner this season on all but 2 games, but I urge others to come out with me and cheer on BYU, even if you think this year's team has fallen short with sufficient talent.

I have my daughters Jr. High choir concert. Both she and I would much rather go to this game.

My son has his Eagle Board of review otherwise I would take my whole family. If they make the second game, im there. Go Cougs!

Plan to go to Tennessee/Mercer game as well.



Per the ticket website, it looks like about 4K have sold plus the student section and upper bowl are blocked off for students (who get in free general admission with All Sports pass or $4 without). I think we'll get to 10K easily. Whether we get to 14K will depend on how many students show up.

I hope it's the scrappier fan that's coming and not so many of the blue-hairs. We need to make some noise. I'm glad they're letting the students in for all-sports pass.

I used to play there, I miss the scrappy games against the latino teams we used to play. How are you liking it? And are you playing in one of the more tougher leagues or more of the beginners?

I know I have not posted a ton but I am truly disappointed in the lackluster support for this season nor this game. It's the freaking Cougars. I attended every home game this year and yes we lost 3 games and should have only been 2 without Helladiva's heartbreaker. Are you all so jaded from the magic of the Jimmer years. That is something that doesn't happen very often. We retired 2 people's jerseys who greatest accomplishment was winning the NIT.

This appears to be turning into the dark corner. It's sports people and great plays happen in every game. Give up $10 bucks and cheer on the Cougs. I don't regret one moment I've spent in the last 30 some odd years cheering on my hometown team. And no it's not a religion thing, 20 years of that I was not a active member.

Tradition, Spirit, Honor. I live the fight song, how bout you?



P.S Hawk forgive me if I over stepped my bounds. Just sick of all the negative comments this season. I realized I am a blue goggled Homer and could not hold back. Your welcome to come sit with me ( bring the Lady as well) as of an hour ago there were seats available next to ours. :love:

I will be watching the game on tv from Oregon. It is finals week here and I still have a final to prep for class tomorrow. How I wish I lived in Happy Valley.

You can call me negative, if you wish, but you might want to think about your won negativity before you do that. Many of us haven't resorted to name calling, even there has been some very bad play out there on the court, and opportunity to do so. So if you feel that you need to go to the game to atone for something, go ahead. I have watched every game this year, and the BBall team this year was a dissappointment. Once Rose figures out a solid lineup that doesn't involve Cusick and Zylstra, and Davies figures out that he is a center and not a shooting guard, we will win again.

Interesting that in UW's 3 home games in the NIT last season, they had attendance of 2,801; 5,761 & 9,140. I am still hoping a min of 10K tonight, but I would be embarassed to ever have a regular season or post season game at home that had as few as 2,801.

Our attendance will be hurt by all of the other spring events/activities going on. I have high council on Thursday night and if we had made the NCAAs, I could have missed that game.
