Jazz out of Playoffs - For Now

It happened last night. The Lakers beat the Orlando Magic, and the Jazz sat idle. The Lakers are now in the Playoffs (8th spot) and the Jazz are 1/2 game behind. Not good for me. Mongo not happy.

Yeah - the Lakers lost tonight. But the Jazz did too. The Jazz remain .5 game behind the Lakers and out of the Playoffs.

The Lakers won last night and the Jazz were idle. As of 3/16 the Jazz are 1 full game behind the Lakers and out if the Playoffs - still.

After NBA games Sat, March 16th - Jazz win, Lakers are idle. Jazz are now 1/2 game behind the Lakers, and still out of the Playoffs.

March 17th, the Lakers won, and the Jazz were idle. The Jazz are back to 1 game out of the Playoffs.

March 18th, The Lakers lose and the Jazz fail to take advantage of it - the Jazz lose too. The Jazz remain 1 game behind the Lakers and out of the Playoffs.

Are we close to the end of the season? I don't follow NBA any more.

I believe the Jazz have 15 games left. The NBA Playoffs begin April 20th. I agree, the NBA has lost some of it's appeal. No question.

On Tues., March 19th, both the Jazz and Lakers were idle. Jazz still 1 game back.

The only story line worth following in the NBA right now is the Heat' s win streak.

I haven't followed a single NBA story this year, watched a game, or kept track of any stats (still 4th place in my fantasy basketball league).

I think I heard 23 wins. The record is the Lakers at 33.

Then you follow it hoping they lose.

Wed., March 20th, Lakers are idle, Jazz lose. The Jazz are behind the Lakers by 1.5 games. The Jazz are going in the wrong direction. Only 14 games left.

Fri., March 22. The Lakers lost and the Jazz lost (to the Spurs in OT) - the Jazz remain 1.5 games behind the Lakers and out of a Playoff spot. The Jazz have 13 games left in the regular season.

Heat streak now up to 25.

As of Sun, March 24, the Jazz are 2 games behind the Lakers and still out of the Playoffs. The Jazz have 12 games remaining, 8 of those games are at home. It's possible, but I don't see the Jazz pulling it off.



The Lakers have won 6 of their last 10 games. The Jazz have won 2 of their last 10 games. No sign of momentum.

What I'm hoping for is a Dallas run that knocks the Fakers out of the playoffs and keeps the Jazz out. That would be a happy day.

Oh yeah. I love the Mavericks. I want any team that can keep the Lakers out of the Playoffs to put it in gear. A great NBA season for would would be - neither the Lakers or the Heat make the Playoffs. Not going to happen.



The next best option for me is that if they both make the Playoffs - they both get knocked out in the 1st Round. Will probably happen to the Lakers. Not a chance with the Heat.
