2012-13 Brock Zylstra - Regular Season Grades

It's time to hand out grades for the players of the 2012-2013 basketball team.

For the season, he had 796 minutes, 82 of 193 Field Goals, 29 of 41 free throws, 37 of 107 from three, 230 points. 18 offensive rebounds, 104 defensive rebounds, 62 assist, 36 turnovers, 30 steals and 4 blocks.

Still disappeared in big games. Took few shots in those games. Did hit a couple of huge threes in the home game against St. Mary's. Former walk-on who did everything the coaches wanted to become a team leader/captain.

D. He never realized that he is at his best driving to the hole. He has the height to finish as well. Although I wonder if Rose honestly discourages aggression on offense?

He was aggressive taking it too the hole, but got called for offensive fouls a lot when driving it in.



On defense, he's an absolute liability. His outside shooting is average, at best. Our team got better with his departure.



Appreciate his effort and the engery he brought. There were a couple of games this season where he kept us in there, but against better athletes, he got beat time and time again. Part of the reason we had to go zone all year long is because of Zylstra and Rose' infatuation with him.

This! Overall, a little disappointing. Wish he could have done better his Sr season.
