2012-13 Craig Cusick - Regular Season Grades

It's time to hand out grades for the players of the 2012-2013 basketball team.

This poll is for Craig Cusick.



For the season, he had 645 minutes, 45 of 114 Field Goals, 18 of 27 free throws, 29 of 70 from three, 137 points. 9 offensive rebounds, 69 defensive rebounds, 69 assist, 28 turnovers, 28 steals and 0 blocks.

For a former walk-on, he became a key contributor. One of the few guys who could hit from the outside on an almost adequate and consistent basis.

B+. He played at or above his potential. And the game winning shot v USU is at least a half grade improvement. He probably had no business playing at a DI level. Credit him. Best wishes to Craig and his dad.

C- . He did nothing on the offensive end other than hand the ball off to someone else and go hide in the corner for an open 3 (which he hit in conference play, raising his overall grade).



On the defensive side he was an F-minus. Pretty bad in zone, and atrocious in man.



He was about what you would expect him to be.

B+. Agree with others that for a former walk on, was one of the bright spots of this years team. Liked that he actually hit his shots on a consistent basis.

I don't think he's a "former" walk on. I think that he's a walk on. He's paying to play on the team. I gave him an "A" for that reason alone. He's here because he wants to be, and if a scholarship player can't pass him for minutes on the floor - that's on the scholarship player, not him. Again, he was playing on his own nickel. Good for him!
