2012-13 Agustin Ambrosino - Regular Season Grades

It's time to hand out grades for the players of the 2012-2013 basketball team.

This poll is for Agustin Ambrosino.



For the season, Ambrosino had 180 minutes, 20 of 50 Field Goals, 4 of 8 free throws, 11 of 32 from three, 55 points. 9 offensive rebounds, 31 defensive rebounds, 8 assist, 12 turnovers, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Little production. His great outside shooting never materialized. Looked really lost on defense.

The honest truth is I cannot remember a year that turned out as disappointing as this year. I believe there was a bit more of an expectation that we'd be a better team and what was most disappointing was that we seemed to get worse as we went along. So many players that just didn't have game. Ambrosino thus far has proven to be a disappointment as a scholarship player.

This year was like watching the presidential election night results. Nothing broke for Romney. Everything went the other way. BYU had no guys pan out. No one really improved over the offseason.

This is what really bugs me about this season. I didn't see any improvement individually, or as team throughout the year. There was no chemistry, no "cohesion".



Very strange. Very frustrating

Could that have been because of all the new faces? Calvert, Haws, Ambrosino, Delgado, Kaufusi are all guys who weren't on the team last year in any fashion.

Another anomaly. Hard to grade. Didn't materialize, but was that coaches holding him back to get shots for Davies and Haws? B- benefit of the doubt.
