What I liked about it is that Ross Apo looked like he actually had a pulse after practice. I liked Holliday's intensity and the fact that he was demanding precise route running. While not everyone agrees with a drill sergeant mentality, having served in the military under drill sergeants, it does create a certain sense of toughness within you...something that has been lacking on the offensive side of the ball (Riley Nelson, excluded).

I think I love the Guy Holiday addition to this year's staff. Thanks for sharing the link, Mr. Lingo.

Love it. We have three old yellers out there: Anae, 2J, and this Guy. This offense has lacked, among other things, focus/mental acuity and intensity, especially in the Oline and WRs (well maybe Apo), and the TEs.

Gone is the nice guy (Webber) the old, tired guy(Reynolds), the young/ot so experienced, running-man guy (Bishop Doman); the happy guy (Dupaix--don't know what else to call him) and the all-time pass receiver guy.

Yelling can have a half-life, but this isn't Church and these kids aren't fully motivated as one might think. Yell On, dudes.

Yes he is a 'sergeant' type but you notice he stated that off the field he wants to be a mentor and someone people can expect support from on a personal level. i think he has it right and will help the receivers be good. feeling good about that hire.



to me everything hinges on the oline this year. we have the skill at the skill positions, we just need an offensive line to make it work. i am glad that anae recognizes this and obviously made oline recruiting a priority.
