Another war, another peace prize

The socialist president of France was awarded a UN peace prize for going to war alongside US troops in Mali. How many wars is the US fighting? 9, 10, 11, 12, does anyone even know the answer anymore? Does anyone care? Or is this just the excuse needed to prevent funding cuts to the military?
