MWC Four Year Scheduling Rotation Announced

The good news is they will play only 8 conference games per season with 5 intra division and 3 crossover games. Everyone plays everyone in the opposite division home and away every four years. Intra-division home / away will swap 3/2 to 2/3 every other year which is unbalanced for winning or losing the division in any given year but the advantage / disadvantage for each team balances out over two years. A similar situation 2/1 to 1/2 occurs for cross division games but evens out every two years. They will synch these things to give every team 4/4 each year. So overall, Division Championship determination includes intra and cross division games, so it is reasonably balanced each year with the wild card being cross division SOS for each team.



This leaves 4 OOC games for each team at this point or room for MWC to do an ACC / ND type arrangement with BYU.



The MWC will have 12 teams and a championship game - assuming that they do not lose more teams to one of The 5 Elite Conferences.

One is less elite than the other 4 and could fall out at the whimm of Big 10, SEC, or Big 12 if they want to poach.



ACC still has a ticket to the parade. They are not as worthy as other ticket holders, but then U isn't as worthy as USC, Oregon, Stanford, and a slew of other BCS Schools.



If life was fair - BYU would have a ticket.



But I agree that ACC has become vulnerable to the most elite 4. The ACC is as almost as dead as The Big 12 was in 2010 or so. Wait. It ain't over til its over. I do not expect a happy ending for the ACC. But even the lowly MWC turned their ship around to an extent that most did not expect.



If I were King, I would let it roll and get the dog fight over now. At least then, we would get some clarity of where we all fit in.
