Very, very cool! I have a Pitta signed Ravens Helmet that just went up in value. It will be great having A Pitta Watch. Hopefully his career doesn't get blown up by a dirty, vicious, NFL sanctioned, flagrant helmet to Helmet hit like Collie's did.

Pitta is the freakin man. I'll never forget the catch against Colorado State where his helmet came flying off and he made an incredible catch to help seal the deal. Also love how he and Andrew George were a perfect combination together--and the attention that Pitta got from Utah likely helped George get open for his winning catch. Team player, all around. He blocks, he gets open, he catches, he does it all. Come back to Provo and coach when you're done, Dennis!

Hey, having Pitta on the Ravens has allowed me to finally root for them in this contest. I'm still not over Modell taking my Browns to Baltimore, but since he died last year and I don't have to see his smiling face at the win, I was a Raven's fan yesterday. One of my eight-year old Primary kids asked me yesterday in class who I was rooting for. He was happy to hear the Ravens as he said everyone in his family were 49er fans, be he was not. There are still a lot of them in the Utah area left over from Steve Young, and I understand that. I am, and will ALWAYS be a Cleveland Browns fan first.

In my mind, the legacy of Steve Young has been washed out by the diarrhea of Alex Smith. Trade Alex and I "might" become a niner fan again. But the stench would probably reek out there for a few more years.

Don't forget Michael Oher who took some BYU Independent Study courses so he could raise his GPA to qualify academically to go to Ole Miss!

Pitta almost sealed the game but dropped that third down fall down catch that he almost never misses. i was shocked he missed that catch. it was awesome to see him get a touchdown. so cool.

I loved the way he caught the ball and then just walked away

So now that he is making noise on a national level, does he start mentioning his high school instead of BYU on the "intro credits" in all the games? :lol:

Seems like this thread would be a great place for true BYU fans to show respect and gratitude to the hometown of Dennis Pitta. IDK what would cause anyone to ridicule any hometown celebration.



Dennis Pitta was the pride of Moorpark when he was in high school - when he excelled at BYU - when he made an NFL roster and when he played in his first Super Bowl.



Hometown is proud and will ignore any further ridicule here. And yes - his hometown will receive mention as he furthers his achievements.
