Really good schedule. Really tough schedule. Will be fun to see how Bronco and company do. I do wonder, when did BYU vs Utah become the "Deseret First Duel"?

MWC championship game was scheduled for the same day and we were no able to change the date.

The Deseret First Duel has only been around some 10-15 years, I think. It was a gimmick thought up by DFCU for advertising. They pay big bucks to have it mentioned ad nauseum and there isn't a person in the world who gives a hoot about it.

**sigh** utah is the 3rd game of the year again.

But we are losing 19-16 so far this year in the DFD. Don't worry we will win it again.

6 BCS opponents from 6 different conferences (if you include ND's independent conference). This is a pretty stellar schedule.

I like the schedule a lot! Now we just need to get the damn coaching positions finalized!

I would guess that they couldn't work out the dates for the 2013 game, and then that threw a wrench into the 2014 game being scheduled back in Provo. Just surprised the whole series then was dropped because I think an annual game with Hawaii was good.

I will take back my comment though that I would be underwhelmed by whatever TH announced tonight on True Blue. While I was not blown away, to say that the schedule is incredible is an understatement. I'd rather not have IDU, but as a warmup for Notre Dame, hard to complain.



I can actually say that I was shocked at the news that Nevada gave BYU a 2-fer. I didn't see that coming whatsoever.

Who was it that "left us in a lurch" and idaho state filled in for it?

What a schedule!! Someone get TH a raise. I love the use of the bye weeks. Its going to help break up the season and get people healthy. Great job TH couldn't be happier.

This is a very nice schedule. Exactly what you'd hope for in Independence.

+1. This is a demanding schedule. It will really test the new Offensive Coord and his assistants. R.A. will have a busy summer watching game film. I think we go 8-4. If we get lucky, 9-3. This will be a very interesting year with cautious expectations.

8-4 would be pretty good. That would mean we beat at least 2 of the following:

ND, Wisconsin, Boise State, Texas, Georgia Tech, and Utah. Texas and BSU have finished ranked in 9 out of the last 10 years. Wisconsin in 7 out of the last 10. Utah 5 out of the last 10.
