Utah State decimated

Nothing personal to USU, I never root for the other in state teams and it appears that USU is dead to right after their #1 and #3 scorers (and also best 2 defenders) are either out for the regular season or possibly beyond.



I think Stew Morrills program is going to be on life support the next few years. They really count on their regular season success to lure recruits and when it's all said and done they might end up .500.

When I saw what a great year they were having, I was a little concerned that BYU did not make them play us when scheduled instead of squeezing them into a busy week later with USU at full strength. It was starting to look like an almost certain loss for a while.



We have started to improve and now they just got hammered.



Maybe we will be OK.



I do not think this will hurt their recruiting. But when Stu retires I could see a big drop off.

Craig, what are your thoughts on Brekkot Chapman and do we have a shot at him? I've heard he wants to play with Dalton Nixon at the next level. What about Payton Dastrup? Could Kyle handle the 4 better than Sharp due to Kyles increased size/weight? Who knows maybe Kyle got taller on his m mission. In a recruiting roundup article I read that BYU is recruiting Sai Tummala

I think that by the time Kyle is ready to play again, Sharp is going to be light years ahead in terms of legs, scheme and leadership. They guy has been playing great this year and will certainly be better as he continues to develop. Collinsworth isn't nearly the "hustle" player that Sharp is, but Sharp is not the scoring threat that Collinsworth was/is.

btw if you didn't notice, I think I answered bibs question on the lone peak thread on the usu thread.



The Brekkot Chapman question is interesting. He has stated he wants to play with Dalton, but all signs point to him not coming to BYU aisde from that. I would assume it's an honor code thing, but aside from Jordan Loveridge, Dave Rose has gotten the Utah kids he wanted so who knows...



I wish we had Loveridge in the worst way. He's the ideal 4 for our offense.

I'm guessing he wanted more than playing time. Because he would easily be playing over Sharp and Ambrosino. I think he wanted a little more freedom to live how he wants (i.e. not the Honor Code)
