How much better would the 2012 BYU offense had been with Dennis Pitta on it?

One of my concerns for Pitta going into the NFL was... He would fall to the ground after he caught the ball a lot.

He's came a long ways and still catches everything that touches his hand. Now he seems to keep his feet on the ground.

Plus Flacco throws many where Pitta had to lay out for them.

Agreed!

It's too bad Harline never had an NFL career due to lagging injuries, because he was just as talented, IMO.

Not much. For a tight end to be effective, BYU would need to a have a QB that could throw to him...

Not to mention on OC who knew how to use a TE in the scheme.

I was going to make a comment about needing an OL, but I think even BYU's porous OL kept the defense occupied long enough (even if just barely) for a TE to take 3 steps downfield and turn around.

That was literally as much time as the line could provide, but they could provide it, 82% of the time.
