CRICKETS, EGGS, and RECRUITS

BYU has scrambled egg all over its face at the worst possible time. The recruits are all in town IIRC from what someone else posted. Lawboy said it would be all-in Thursday. Tom Holmoe said it would all be good. It isn't all in and it wasn't all good. Thanks A-Rod.



And now it has gone absolutely silent re new coaches - except for the crickets.



What are the crickets telling the recruits?

The crickets are telling the recruits that we've still got a sweet program - world class facilities, great fans, and a beautiful campus, and they (the recruits) will love thier time at BYU irrespecive of position coach issues. I agree with the crickets!

For the fence sitters - that's what the snowmobile trip is for. Wowzi!!!!!

Is the weather still as brutal as it has been? SLC over 20 inches of snow and Heber at 20 below zero were anecdotes I heard.

Inversion now. Lots of good snow and blue skies at Aspen Grove.

I thought crickets could only tell you the temperature? :D



At least the inversion isn't as bad typically in Provo as it is in SLC or Logan. I can't imagine bringing a recruit in right now if he's from a place in the country that doesn't get this. Nasty stuff.



I can't figure out why they got rid of Cahoon unless they knew much earlier that they had Rodderick lined up or someone else we haven't heard of. Unless Anae just thinks he's a Doman guy so he can't be trusted, don't you keep a promising coach until you have another one locked up? Maybe BYU is different and Anae knew he wouldn't be keeping him no matter what so he'd let him have the opportunity to get another job? Maybe the talk about him not being officially let go has some legs?



I wonder how much of what us fans think is happening is actually what is really happening. Maybe TH, BM, RA, and BD are just sitting back and reading CC and laughing all day :lol: :lol: :lol: :evil: :lol: :lol:

Bib, I keep telling you about voices in your head. Same goes for animals, bugs, inanimate objects. There's help. Really! ;-)



Besides, who needs Riley's abs and hair when BYU now has 2-J's jaw? The dude blocked for a Heisman winner and a stud RB. What else would a recruit need to see? :-)

The visits this weekend don't matter. Rare is the recruit who isn't committed to BYU at this point in the game who winds up committing at this stage. BYU has a poor record of securing last minute commitments.

Lawboy seemed to think there were four that could really help us. I could also imagine a WR recruit being a little unsettled.



Hoff still seems on board. Tweeted something about KVN doing his new rap song at BB halftime tomorrow.
