Not that I have an inside info but I certanily prefer Cahoon to A-rod. Blessing in disguise perhaps.

I don't think anythign offical about cahoon or dupaix has been announced.

Nothing was announced about Weber until he found a new Job. Not much gets announced at BYU in these situations. Jaime Hill. Doman. That is about it other than retirements like Reynolds.

It means BYU believed Roderick when he told BYU he would accept the coaching vacancy. So BYU was notifying the other applicants that the job had been filled.

What did you want the coaches to do? They opened the job. Took the applications. Made the decision to hire Roderick. He took the offer. BYU calls the other applicants to tell them they are going with someone else. You seem confused as to why BYU would tell Cahoon, Max and Dupaix they didn't have a job.



You are assuming they were playing games with Cahoon. That he was unaware of any offensive staff upheaval.

Incorrect. As the flow of the thread goes, Johnny said nothing was announced. My next post simply quoted Harmon as indicating that Cahoon was told he was out. While not an official "announcement" that's pretty official. It's a Take it or leave it to those who follow Harmon, but in the "room for doubt" category, given that nothing official had been stated, Harmon was filling a gap, I was quoting Harmon in the "for whatever its worth" category. Nothing about fricken conspiracies.



BYU did "technically fire" Cahoon. That's the counterpoint.
