Survey: Which year fielded the worst Offense? '10, '11, '12

I'm wondering as I look back, as grim as it might be, which year was the worst, most screwed up, most disappointing offense. This would include stats, coaching problems/changes, play-calling, player problems and disunity, qb situation, results relative to SOS, results relative to expectations (Sr QB/RB vs freshman QB/RB,) etc.



***I could have asked which was the best year, but each year seemed to be riddled with an obvious problem or set of problems; and I'm sure all three would rank below the previous 5-6 years (2005-2009). Another common denominator is that BYU lost all three years to Utah--Hate to throw that in as though we measure success or failure based on that, but it is one variable of significance to fans and it was consistent across the three years.

I voted that this year was the worst, with 2010 being second. Last year wasn't great, but you can't argue with 10 wins.



What was most frustrating about this year was that we had an awesome defense that coupled with even an average offense would have led to a special season. Instead we got 8-5. That isn't terrible, but we can do better.

I agree. I never ever thought I'd say this, but it made me miss the Kevin Feterik days.

I think people have very short memories to not have voted for '10 as the worst. If you recall, the program was on the verge of apocalypse during the USU game. We were trending down, down, down and everyone was about to jump ship until Riley came in and saved the program. The rest of the year was against patsies so I think the offense still sucked. That year we had 0 TE TD's. No doubt about it that was a high school offense on the field that year.



2010 was the worst. 2011 had some leftover Jake Heaps helpings so that's definitely 2nd place.



This year we played a legit schedule and, I think, played a little bit better offense but it still sucked. I mean we did almost beat ND. I'm not sure why everyone is voting for 2012.

Ugh, I forgot about the rushing yards debacle against Utah in 2011. I don't know if the inability to run in that game is worse than the inability to pass against BSU in 2012. Those were some ugly games.

I know this is only about the last 3 years but my vote would have to be 2003, that was the suckiest offense I have seen at BYU ever!
