OC and Fans

I may have a bad memory, but Robert Anae was NOT run out of town several years ago. He left on his terms, perhaps because of rancor amongst the coaches, perhaps because of upset fans, but NOT because the school told him to leave. The people upset with Anae were mad because he did not call the game like they would have, because they know better and know all. These fans will never be pleased. So why try? Anae's offenses performed well. Do I wish he called some plays differently? Yes. Does that make him a bad OC or one run out of town? NO! Sinc Anae left, BYU's offenses the past couple of years have not performed well and the concern is not with some play calling--I still think Doman got better in calling plays and is a good play caller. The issue is with the performance of the offense in total, with particulare concern with our OLine. Anae can address that issue. I hope Doman stays and grows. He has talents and leadership that can greatly benefit BYU.

Simply put, Anae would not be back if he was "run out of town." No other evidence needed.



Also, anyone who complains about an Anae offense after what we've just been through has a bad memory. I couldn't be happier with having him back.



I'd also be happy to keep Doman around as QB coach if he'll stay. He recently started working on reinvigorating the poly pipeline and I'd like to see that kept up
