BSU has seen what we're doing and likes it. Who doesn't! It's funny that others are talking bad about them, as if they aren't supposed to receive full value for their brand. They may soon join us in independence

"Boise reminds me of the teenage recruit who is starting to believe he's the biggest star in town," a source said. "It might be a pretty big letdown when all is said and done. Actually the sentiment of 'who do they think they are' is starting to seep into conversations with folks across college football.

"Let's remember this isn't Alabama, or even Texas Tech, we're talking about. This sorry episode is starting to make it seem like Boise is one of the power assets in college football. In reality their value is relative to the conference they belong to."

Except that star recruits do this all the time ... successfully (Cam Newton anyone?). And no, Boise isn't Alabama, but they do have a brand, a great, recognizable brand and this isn't exactly the SEC we're talking about. Add to that the fact that the Big East NEEDS NEEDS NEEDS Boise to join as much or more than the MWC would REALLY REALLY REALLY hate to lose them. They're the hottest girl in school and prom is fast approaching. They'd be dumb if they didn't try to get the sweetest deal possible, even if that does make them a "piece of work". I'll eat crow when either conference tells Boise to take it or leave it.

Also, I love how the ESPN quotes came from "a source". What? no "area man" available for an interview? Perhaps no "reports" on hand to cite?
