Parker's announcement made on bowl day to soften the blow?

Just wondering. Of course, if we lose, it becomes to suckiest day ever as a BYU fan--well, not as sucky as that snowstorm loss to Utah that broke our scoring streak, but still pretty sucky. To me, that snowstorm loss has been the suckiest day ever as a BYU fan. I had to question whether I wanted to continue putting myself through this. Thankfully, it got better. Feel free to share what your suckiest day as a BYU fan has been--related to a BYU sporting event, not just your suckiest day.

Suckiest BYU day was a tie between the Boise loss in 2003 and the Utah loss in 2011 and hearing Davies was dismissed from the program and watching us immediately lose to New Mexico.

Utah 2011 was a pretty sucky day but that game got so far out of hand it almost softened the blow. Davies dismissal was pretty bad too.



In regards to bowl games and basketball, was it 2008 when the basketball team lost to AZ (maybe AZ st.) after making a buzzer beater and having it called off and then the football team lost to AZ. That was a sucky day.



Actually, Utah winning the 2008 Sugar Bowl might be the suckiest day that ever sucked.

No, it won't be the worst day of BYU loses. It will suck. But not worst day, unless Riley starts and loses. Bt even then, I'm past feeling and will probably must laugh to scorn.

-BDavies dismissal. I really thought we had a chance at the final four. I'm not too greedy to suggest the final, just final four. That sucked bad.

But cant leave out this year. it has to be up there somewhere. I will take the loss to BSU as even worse than to Utah. But it was the suckiest five days and Im still mad, in case no one could tell.

No, he wasn't thinking of byu when he picked the day. i wish him the best. as a fellow lds person i hope he does well and represents us well as he will be int he spotlight a lot going forrward. don't blame him for going to duke over byu. i probably would have done the same thing.

Probably wanted to be left alone during the holidays, so make the announcement before they start.

I doubt Jabari even knows the fball team is playing today. And probably doesn't care either. He's not a BYU fan.
