Quintessential Christmas Albums

Okay everybody. I want to know what your quintessential Christmas music albums are. I'm talking the best of the best. As in, there is no Christmas without listening to these albums.



I've got three:

Nat King Cole "The Christmas Song"

Vince Guaraldi Trio "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Sufjan Stevens "Songs for Christmas"

Christmas with the Chipmunks

Frank Sinatra & Bing Crosby, Happy Holidays

There are no good Christmas albums. But lots of good Christmas songs.

The Carpenters, I'll Be Home for Christmas & Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas

Elvis, Blue Christmas

Bon Jovi/Eagles, Please Come Home for Christmas

If you're going to have the Chimpmunks (which I also believe are essential), then you must also have Louis Armstrong to even things out.

I whole heartedly disagree with your first sentence, but those are some great songs you listed

My boys and I love the line "Just a cigarette more." it's like the anti-Christmas Carol line. Anytime someone around us mentions that it's cold outside, we always respond "just a cigarette more"
