USU Impressed

It was all Chuckie Keeton throwing and running until Toledo adjusted and then Kerwyn Williams ran all over them. Ever wonder why U and USU seem to find dominating running backs to reload so easily? Less Academic and / or Honor code restrictions maybe?

Ever wonder why Bronco and Doman tried so hard to build around a dual threat QB? But sorry - even our late blooming freshman RB was not as dominant as U and USU RBs the last couple of years.

USU what could have been?



A missed chip-shot FG at Wisconsin and giving up just 6 points and losing to BYU.



THey could have been 13-0 and who knows where they would be.

So, should we have beaten USU this year? We beat a team who finished ranked (and ranked pretty far ahead of us). I'm sure many will dismiss the win as nothing special because it was USU, but I'd say this was a case of our team overachieving this season.

Given our and their record, I'm not sure USU isn't the better team. But we were that day. This was a huge win for the 2012 Cougars.

Taysom was huge vs USU. BYU D was huge also. BYU loses this game with injured Riley playing. USU is arguably the best program in the state given BYUs loss to UTah.

Again, if I am USU, no way I sign a one for two deal with BYU.

Is it a bad thing that our best win this year comes vs a team who will end up ranked in the top 20?

I'm glad USU won their bowl. Kinda like - they represented the state well and help elevate Utah football. But it's a 2 edged sword. Now that USU has had a good year & is ranked, they can give the Coug's a run in the "recruiting wars."

It's really too bad that utah is too chicken to play talented teams. The "Brigham's Boot" trophy would actually mean something now-a-days. I'm sure USU will win this year due to the three way tie and the press voting on the winner.

False. Bronco NEVER wins games he's supposed to lose. He only beats really bad, atrocious teams.
