So if Kansas State can bring back their old coach whom their stadium is named after and he has returned them to glory, could the same be done at BYU? Edwards has a few more good years in him...

Their coach was only retired for a few years before his return. Lavel would need all of his former assistant coaches and those guys are not around any more.

K-St.'s Coach Bill Snyder still had the desire to coach. I would be shocked if Lavell Edwards had an ounce of desire to return and coach.



He still loves BYU football and wants it to succeed. But, he left it all on on the field after 46 years of coaching. Lavell began coaching in 1954 @ Granite HS. Retired from BYU in 2000. That's one heck'uva run.

Lavell hasn't really coached since 1990. It would be a disaster, even if they could convince him to do it.

What about a Lavell hologram? It would fit in the budget and be cheaper than even Bronco.

It would work if he just managed the game and did PPIs. BM could be DC and Lavell would hire some good assistant coaches. He could bring his pet cougar with him and watch flea flicker tapes.
