I'd say no. I'm curious to see what he can do with his big crop of recruits 3 years from now.

This season has had a disappointing start however.

Stupid poll. It's not even worth mentioning. Rose has yet to have a bad season. Bronco has had 3 in a row. The 2 are not analogous in any way. Let's instead talk about why Carlino has fallen off the bus this year.

Tell me that a top-25 finish is a bad season and in the same breath tell me that fans are not spoiled and that our team losing in the round of 64 is a good season.

Bronco's "disapointing" season is a product of fan expectation vs reality. BYU loses to the teams they are supposed to lose to and beats the teams they are supposed to beat, similar to the basketball program. The difference is, in the fans mind, BYU football should never lose to anyone.

By the way, I voted no because Dave Rose is a great head coach, just like Bronco Mendenahall is a great football coach.

We are hurting this year without Collinsworth and Rogers. But I don't think Rose is to blame. Let's see how the team improves over the year. The team will be more talented next year.

The problem with football this year is that the teams we were supposed to lose to this year were very beatable. And Bronco decided to play against many of them with a team at less than 100%.

We had exactly 1 loss this year where you can say with 100% certainty that we would have won with a different QB and that was Boise state. All of the rest is conjecture.

I think there are also very legitimate questions about this years basketball team.

Why do we have no effective guards? Cuisick is what he is, but he's really not going to ever be even an above average guard. How come Carlino has gotten worse instead of improving?

Why have we been losing good players because of a lack of scholarships when it was obvious to the fans last year that Collinsworth would never play again. Same with Rogers.

Why isn't there a single adequate perimeter defender on the team? Shouldn't that be something someone is coached to do?

Rose's philosophy is that he "holds them to their word" when a player commits to go on a mission so he didn't give Harrison his scholorship back when he couldn't go this year. Thus we lost an awesome talent because of Rose's stubborness.

Dude, it's yet to be determined if Harrison WILL BE an "AWESOME" talent as he was still very raw. Rose didn't give him his scholarship back because there wasn't one to give at the time.....He held Harrison to his word and had to plan accordingly. Where do you dream up this CRAP?!?!

Harrison was an underclassman. That automatically makes him awesome. Plus he was coming off the bench, so there were also less-talented and awesome upperclassmen who were holding him back!

To be fair, Harrison was just about the worst offensive player on a team last year that struggled badly to make 3 point shots.

Whatever. He was an underclassman riding the bench. That makes him one of our best players.

But for the recrod, Harrison did have the lowest points available percentage on the team, the lowest true shooting percentage, the lowest effective field goal percentage on the team, and the lowest field goal percentage. He did have the second lowest three-point field goal percentage, but only because Josh Sharp was 1-5.
