How Bad Are They Really?

I like to look at how the outside world views things on occasion to help me keep in touch with reality.



So - I looked at the polls including the BCS Poll.



BYU is ranked 55th in the BCS poll. It seems like pre-season prognosticators had us at about 40. We have slipped from that perspective. It all comes down to losses. Outsiders expected 4 losses at the beginning of the season. We beat GT. but, OSU and SJSU were both better than expected. Bottom line is BYU lost 5 instead of 4.



ND #1 - 3 point loss on the road

OSU #16 - loss at home

BSU #22 - 1 point loss on the road

SJSU #34 - 6 point loss on the road - may be ranked if they win out

Utah #61 - 3 point loss on the road - CLANK - only 6 spots behind us



USU #30 - Win at Home - is ranked in some polls.

GT #65 - Win on the road

Washington State #99 - Win at home

Idaho #114 - Win at home

Hawaii #116 - Win at home

Weber State - Win at home



The last 4 wins on the list are nothing to brag about, but BYU has always had plenty of wins like these. Always.



NMSU #117



SDSU is #35. BYU will be the dog if SDSU wins out.



5-1 at home

1-4 on the road



2-4 Vs Good to Great teams



SOS and Home Field Advantage matters.
