Who gets the start if Nelson doesn't play?

For all of you conspiracy theorists, if Nelson isn't going to play on Saturday against NMSU, who is going to start?



Will we finally see Lark play? Will the coaches say that they want Kuresa to play because he can run the Riley offense which was why they put Hill over Lark for BSU? Do they play Munns because he will be here next year and why waste the game time experience against a cupcake for a senior Lark who won't be around next year?



If they start anyone other than Lark does that give credence to those that say Lark isn't playing because the coaches are afraid he is going to play well and they will look bad? Or does that just indicate that Lark isn't very good?

Play Lark, he might be needed for the bowl game. Give Munns at least a snap. Play Kuresea at least a quarter and some at WR. Play lots of 2nd and 3rd string players.

Nelson will play so the question is irrelevant. He is the proxy HC after all. What Nelson says Bronco does.

Only 120 minutes left...So glad it's almost over.

I doubt we see Lark. Bronco is so far beyond when he should have put Lark in by now that he is dead set against playing him. I would be interested to see what Larks story is, to see if he snuffed Bronco somehow, or if there is some reason that Bronco is being so stupid and stubborn about the quarterback position this year.

I think that we will see simonte vea playing qb. He has high grit levels.

My evidence is a grimacing Riley Nelson, who apparently has a couple broken ribs and looked dead on his feet in the 4th quarter. (just like he did in the - 4 PER against BSU.) 112 efficiency against San Jose freaking State!



I honestly don't think that Lark will see the field, and it isn't for lack of talent. In 1 quarter of play I saw Lark make a better throw than Riley Nelson has all year.

Honestly I haven't watched the last couple of games because I can't watch Nelson play quarter back anymore.

Really? so what happens when Doman loses his job in the off season? Is bronco going to go to bat for him and say that he forced doman to use Riley in order to save it? You guys are so blinded by your hatred of Riley you can't see past the end of your own noses.



As far as Lark's 1 throw that was better than any Riley has had all year; Lark had a 122 passer rating against freaking Idaho. So I guess 1 pretty ball is all you need to convince you that he is so much better. I would hope that if Riley is injured the coaches will make the right decision to play someone else but there is a reason Riley plays and Lark doesn't when Riley is healthy.

I don't know if that is the case. I precepted Larks wife last year at the hospital and she stated that Doman and Riley are like best friends. This may becoming from a disgruntled spouse so take it for what it's worth.

Lark hasn't had ay run in's with coaches to make it so he hasn't played. RN wowed the coaches with grit determination and leadership when Jake was in the tank. James has done nothing wrong, Riley just was the squeaky wheel that got the grease.

The Lark family is very disgruntled, any family would be. James had tons of talent to start at a D1 school but his dedication to BYU has kept him sidelined his whole career.

Anybody will win at NMSU. So who will play in the bowl game and any preparatory work for next season. If RN is done, Lark would do the best for the bowl. Kuresa gives you something for the future. Olsen is on redshirt but it could be burned to prepare for the future. Munns is a junior but we don't expect anything from him next year. Give him a couple of plays and ask him to graduate and move on. We could use his schollie elsewhere.

Which is why he should start the next two games regardless of Riley's health. Riley's had more than his fair share of chances.
