FSU exposing BYU.

Different year, same problems.



- No low post presence.

- Foul trouble

- Too slow

- Fouling on the wrong side of the floor to give FTs.

That last defensive possession was some of the worst zone I've ever seen.



Make that, the last 2 possessions. Why are guys from the post double teaming 17 feet from the basket? Do these guys remember what zone defense is?



This had a NCAA tourney feel from the start, especially the way BYU has played. Get down early, and try to claw back into the game.

FSU players just BLOWING by guys on the perimeter. Penetration is killing BYU

Ballers vs. average white guys. What can we expect? There are no stars on our team that can elevate our game. Haws is good and so is Davies, but there's nothing more than that.

I can understand being out-athleticed by a team. But why does BYU's zone look so bent out of shape. Why is BYU fouling on the wrong side of the court for FT? BYU making it too easy.

Unfortunately it looks like we have the team I thought we had. Basically the same team as last year, minus our best player.



I don't see any improvement in our guys from last year yet. Guard play is weak, we have no rebounding game and perimeter defense is terrible.

So by Jan we're going to be chanting "Can't wait for football..." ???? :D

Carlino chokes in critical games. Can't deal with the pressure. I have yet to see him play well in a big game.



Haws is a baller. Only guy on the team that showed up. Davies played well, I thought, other than his stupid fouls. I think he's a better low post player than Noah was. Problem is we don't have someone to work with Davies down low.



We were getting called for fouls away from the ball because FSU was a bigger faster team and our guys couldn't pound with them. We got sloppy and committed fouls in an effort to contain FSU. Bottom line we couldn't bang with them. The refs were also letting a lot of contact go.



We were one legit scorers away from that game. Sadly, Carlino isn't it. Could be a long season. Calvert scored more than Carlino and rather than dribble into traffic, Calvert avoided it.



One more scorer and Davies out of foul trouble and we had that game.

Last Year team - same as prior year - minus our two best players



So the hemorrhaging of our best players is slowing down
