I went with the absolute nonsense answer to be passively aggressive/dismissive of the overarching discussion. I then respond to someone's statement with a denial or counter-argument that effectively dissolves any legitimacy to that statement--however, my argument is not quite addressing the original poster's statement, thereby making my rebuttal an easy refute of the original statement.



In other words, about a dozen posts in, the straw-man counter-arguments arise.

Insert silly comment somehow relevant to the topic about here, which gets ignored amidst the greater bickering discussion, but is nevertheless quoted several posts later and just makes the overall bickering-fest harder to follow for those who are insistent to be right in their online world.

If relevant (or even if irrelevant) the post then discusses "team speed", Pac-12 exclusion conspiracy theory, some high school QB who is apparently the next Young/Detmer and will be the answer to all offensive shortcomings, our defense being the "best ever", pink shorts, a member of the Collie family, some more whining about this being a "disappointing" season, some rumor of a future scheduled game, the Bibster's lack of BYU football apologism.



Mars, I think we've hit the nail on the head for cynicism about CC postings. This doesn't feel so good because I'm only a recruit still.



Several more posts of nonsense, and then...please...someone give me something that is interesting and keeps me coming to this website amidst the rest of the above. Given this particular thread, I am somewhat pessimistic that this will happen. I shall check later with much anticipation as I login.
