Why I can't wait for the Idaho Game

I know there are those who couldn't give a fig for this game, but I am rediculously excited. Here are my reasons:



1) My parents have been serving a mission in the Nauvoo Temple these last 18 months. They were released last week arrive in UT tomorrow (after a trip to see youngest brother in Indianapolis) and will attend the Idaho game as my guests (also with nephew #2 who loves BYU football but doesn't get to many games).



2) It may snow



3) CougarCorner appears to be running faster, so there's that also. :D

Last chance to get a Cougar Tail at LES.

I'm going only because my son got he and I some really good free tickets.



I gave my mother a call Friday and asked if she would like to attend a game in California (she lives in Napa) and she was so excited too. So I'm heading to her place early for Thanksgiving and I'm going to the San Jose game. Great seats are still availble at a fraction of our usual cost. People complain that BYU tickest are inexpensive. A ticket on the 40 yard line and five rows up purchased this morning was only (with all the fees) $32.50.

I'm exhausted from watching BYU struggle against good competition (minus the GT game), so I'm honestly looking forward to a good old blowout. I know in my brain that it doesn't mean BYU is good, but my heart will be happy to see it.

I am excited because my son is finally old enough to go and he is so looking forward to it as I am. He could care less that were not playing Notre Dame,Texas or some other big name team he just wants to go support the Cougars and see a lot of points scored. He is so excited he can hardly sleep. We will be bundled up and screaming our heads off trying not to freeze to death its gonna be a blast as my newest Cougar fan gets his first taste of a game.

My son has informed me that the season is over and he will be looking for someone to give my tickets to. He was once an extremist BYU fan. He is a law student taking 18-19 units per semester, so I should maybe just let that be. If I had not just totaled my car coming back from the weekend trip that lasted five weeks, I would drive back out and go.



It has been a blast for me to actually attend live games this year after living in Hawaii the previous 10. I went to late games and early games and cold games and rainy games and perfect weather games at BYU and a couple at RES.



WSU, U, UH, USU, USC, OSU - saw them all. Watched the rest on TV. It has been fun, frustrating, and rewarding.



I would love to see THIS



Shutout - even while liberally playing guys that will play next year

Combined PER of 175 - including liberally playing Lark, Munns, and Kuresa

200 yard rushing performance by Williams and 100 by others

Apo or Hoffman getting open behind coverage and one of our QBs getting the ball to them in stride

100% on kicking

Every kickoff returned to the 25 or beyond

Pick 6

Blocked kick

Sacks and more sacks

I can't wait for the Idaho game (and sad at the same time) because it will be the last home game I'll ever attend as a student and the last one I'll be able to attend for a LONG time.



I'm graduating in April, then going to optometry school for 4 years, and I won't be coming back to Utah to practice.
