Poll: Will BYU go to the NCAA Tournament this year?

No wishy washy answers or conditionals. The team has the depth that it has, and luck is a part of every season, both good and bad. So state firmly will the Cougars make it to the dance this year or not.



You have only until Nov. 15th to vote.

I think BYU will do better in conference this year than they did last year. I think they will be 1 or 2 in a league that will send 2 or 3 teams to the NCAA Tournament.

This is a clown question.



The only question is will BYU get a Seed higher than 12.

Rose delivers year in and year out.

We're in. We've got the best player in the WCC, improved guard play and some legit shooters.

I hear that Spiff picked us to go to the NIT. Boo Spiff!

Yes! A resounding yes!

Absolutely! We have a good post presence and should have decent guard play. Davies looks like he is preparing to go in the 1st round of the NBA draft. Carlino looks like a better distributor, even though he still takes bad shots. Haw will be a solid contributor. Austin should be better than last year. Defensively we should be ok, and I love our transition game. It appears that our 3 point shooting should be better than last year.

Despite being more familiar with WCC venues, BYU loses twice on the road in conference and holds serve in the Marriott Center (one close game decided by relocated student section!)



Dave Rose's Cougars win the conference tourney at the Orleans, get the automatic bid and a 9 seed.

Yes for sure, guard play is going to be huge this year. We are going to have guards to handle the pressure of Saint Mary's. Haw is such a smart player his basketball IQ is off the charts, which I will think rub off on Carlino. Austin will be an anchor inside. Davies is going to command a double team inside. I like our team more than last years. Rose is turning BYU in a basketball power house.

With Haws back, if Davies can stay healthy (knock on wood) and clean (don't do anything with wood) we should have no trouble making the tourney.

If that were the case, BYU's record would in the area of 28-5.

I think we barely miss. Our guards are not world beaters (particularly on defense), Raul Delgado has the tools but is sadly out of shape and our perimeter defense still stinks.



Davies is going to get double teamed, a lot, and I don't think we have anyone else aside from Haws that can be counted on to make plays and score when given the ball.



We're good but not great.



If this team gets to the dance, I will consider it Coach Rose's best coaching job. Regardless the future is incredibly bright and I will take it one game at a time this year.

Caling a league a 3 bid league means nothing if we don't have the right RPI and quality wins. Leagues don't get teams into the dance, particularly when the bottom of the WCC is going to be as weak as any conf in the country. I expect neither by the end of the year. The guards are not ready for the primetime this season. Sharp, Ambrosino and Austin are decent backups but none are solid starters if this team wanta to dance.



I hope I'm wrong but i think we finish on the outside this year and then we go on a 15 yr run of great tourney hoops. In Dave Rose I trust.

I am not confident in our bigs after this season. Next year we have no inside power game. I like Austin, but Austin is not a back to the basket guy. Haven't seen much of Harward, but what little I have seen doesn't get my hopes up.



If I were a betting man, we go this year on the back of Davies and miss next year.

With how easy our schedule is and the name we've built up for ourselves, I think we get in easy - besides the fact that I think our team will be pretty good this year - crappy schedule aside.
