Sr. leadership failed BYU against Oregon State

The senior leadership failed BYU in the second quarter of the game Saturday.



Riley Nelson on offense and Brandon Ogletree on defense.



Nelson threw that interception in the red zone while trailing 14-7. Ogletree had a roughing the passer penalty on 3rd down with 2:30 to play in the quarter. BYU was going to get the ball back since the pass was short of the first down.



I am not saying BYU would have won, or that these two plays cost BYU the game, but it would have been much more favorable for BYU.



A score instead of an interception is obviously a big change in the course of the game.



BYU with the ball and over two minutes to play, just after scoring a touchdown. Go nitro offense and I like the chances for another score before halftime.



We heard so much about how having 29 seniors was going to work wonders for this team. Well, at least for one quarter it was two sr. captains who hurt the team.

That roughing the passer penalty was pure garbage. We came up against a better team and we lost. If you thought we were the best team in the country, then you were sadly mistaken. If not, then you understand why the game ended the way it did.

Good grief. And if the person giving the opening prayer had more faith, we would have only lost by 14....

I thought it was a good prayer, was disapointed that he didn't thank the Lord for his smokin hot wife though......
