Is cougar corner loading slowly for you recently?

So for the past few weeks, Cougar Corner has been much, much slower than I had ever encountered. I saw Hawkwing's comment after the GoDaddy problems a few weeks ago, but things haven't improved much since then.



Has anybody else noticed how slowly things load around here lately? It definitely effects how often I come and how long I stay.

Yes, it's an ongoing problem that I am continuing to work with godaddy about. In fact, I just talked to them today about updating database servers.

Recently? Heck, it's been slow for the last two weeks at least. Drives me crazy. And, yes, it definitely effects how often I come here and how long I stay.

I would consider the last few weeks "recently". Guess I've been around too long.

Would deleting some of the older threads speed it up?

Yes. I've had to give up on posting sometimes, especially when I'm on my phone.

I am suprised by the lack of traffic on the board. I have not been on BYU boards, but compared to 3-4 years ago this place is a ghost town.



I was interested to have dialogue about the ND game and there has been very little conversations pieces regarding the game.....it should be a fun game, but I am bias.

The site has been working much better this morning, after I pointed out where the problem may be to my guy at godaddy. Hopefully it stays working well.

Still going very slow for me.

Slow as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore.



I ask you good people... is the Cougar Corner messageboard better off than it was four years ago? I don't think anyone can honestly say that it is. Time to fire the old boss and hire a new one.

I suggest we replace Hawkwing with the BYU OL. They let things get through a lot quicker!

I just talked to the guy again, they have discovered an issue with webservers connecting to database servers. It doesn't matter the size of the website or database server.



They now have their development/programming staff working to fix the issue.

Here's to hoping.



I'm not a fan of godaddy in the first place. This situation and their apparent inability to diagnose problems hasn't helped my opinion.

You should be using host gator for your web hosting. Much better than godaddy.

Might be premature, but today things are much speedier for me! Hope its fixed!
