Defending players

I am sure that with next years killer schedule that Taysom hill is going to struggle at some point in the season. He is going to have slow reads, throw some bad balls, have some fumbles and interceptions. I will guarantee you that I am going to be on the board defending him while the rabid dog BYU fans are going to be calling for Ammon Olson or some other QB to be playing in place of him. I am also going to make the prediction that I am going to be called Mrs Hill at some point next season when I defend his play and point out the real reasons for a loss (like if the defense gives up 5 touchdowns without much resistance against a good offense).

It's just the way BYU fans are. I can't speak to other fan bases because BYU is the only collegiate team I follow to this extent, but at BYU the fans who follow Spring/Fall camps and recruiting always believe the younger guys on the bench are better than the upperclassmen on the field. It's been that way since Engemann, in which specific instance the sentiment was justifiable.
