Cut the playbook back that much, then Hill isn't a good player (he's a good player). If you can play, you can play. Freshman come in all over college football and play QB and lead their teams. Hill got into Stanford for crying out loud. He's not dumb, so he can run the plays.



The time that Hill was allowed to make plays, BYU scored a TD.



If this is what you're going to do with a freshman QB, just play the senior (Lark).

USU went into a prevent at the end of the half and it opened up the passes down field. Credit Hill for making plays but if USU doesn't go prevent, we probably don't score.

It seems to me that Lark would HAVE to know the passing offense better than Hill. Not sure why they haven't used him unless he really isn't good enough to put in and expect us to be able to win with him. Hill is smart, he is a VERY good player but frankly I don't want to put our chances of winning and losing against a legit top 15 defense on the shoulders of a freshman. I thought tonights game plan was perfect, we let him make plays when they were there, punted when they weren't and we won the game.

They went prevent, and gave up a long play? And down the sideline? Prevent is meant to keep everything short and in the middle of the field. Maybe they went to prevent defense, but Hill attacked exactly what they were trying to prevent, and made the plays.

ESPN's interview with bronco at the half, the lady asked him how we were able to score so easily at the end of the half and he said "they went soft on defense" Prevent dood we took advantage.
