Taysom Hill

Folks, Taysom played EXACTLY like I wanted him to tonight. He was a good steward of the ball, ran the plays the way they should be run, didn't turn the ball over (the interception was bad but the linebacker made a good play on the ball), and we allowed our defense to dominate and we won. We need to be patient with the kid. Brandon Doman is bringing him along exactly the way he should be. His strength right now is running the ball and that is what he did the majority of the time. If Doman tried to make him an effective thrower, we would probably have lost the game tonight. The throw game will come, he is a very gifted athlete.



Having said that, if we plan on keeping up with OSU next week, we need Nelson back behind center.

Totally agree with this frdbtr. Hill protected the ball, make good decisions, did what he needed to to win.



Didn't see anything that sets him apart from a healthy Nelson. If Nelson's healthy, I'll fully support him starting.

They open up the playbook for one drive, and they score a TD...sorry, they just need to let Hill go for it. He turns the ball over a whole lot less than Nelson does, so run your playbook or play Lark.

Riley wasn't turning the ball over when he was healthy.

Riley has always been a turnover machine, even when healthy, against any decent defense.
