John White Quote - What an Idiot!

So after the game last night John White says, "We were two play from winning that game."

No, John, you were two plays from losing 24-21. Numbers are hard for some people to understand.

John White has never had an intelligent thought in his head, let alone a quote.

U was lucky to ever be in that one. USC speed, power, and explosiveness could only be held in check so long. And they quit donating easy scores after the first two.



Dumb as Whute may seem. He is a very good RB. Very good. Behind a poor OL, he was about the only effective weapon U had after USC adjusted and took away the slant passes.



That trick play - nullified by a penalty - was about the only other U explosion before scrub time.



But hey - how bout that freshman QB?

No Juan, BYU was 1 play away from beating Utah.



USC spotted Utah 14 points, and then took them to the woodshed. It was 38-21 before the garbage time TD. Utah was close to winning that game until the second quarter when their offense decided they wanted to suck.

What White said is dumb. The irony is that he sounds exactly like half the BYU fans I know that think nobody ever beats BYU. When BYU loses it is always because they beat themselves.



All the plays count including the two quick scores Utah made to start the game. USC didn’t give them those any more than Utah gave them the pick 6 or the fumble on their own 30.



The game consists of everything that happens between 15:00 of the first quarter and 0:00 of the 4th quarter. You can’t pick and choose specific plays to ignore. And if you want to play that game I can make up a whole list of times Utah let USC off the hook. But it is a stupid endeavor.

I always play the what-if game if BYU loses, but I am a total BYU homer. The quotes are only stupid when cougar opponents say them ;) ;)
