kjjsonSo at the Luncheon today, Coach DuPaix was to be one of the speakers, but I guess his wife had a baby so they had a couple of Cross Country runners and then one of the BYU marketing guys and a broadcasting guy. The guy talking about the branding that is BYU had some interesting things to say:
1. The blackout is coming from a request from the players.
2. They showed pictures from the White Out and the sectional colors and reiterated to wear blue, except when instructed otherwise (i.e. black on the 13th).
3. He showed some of the old logos and talked about how they as an athletic department are working towards the oval with a Y is the trademark BYU and that is what they want people to see, and think of BYU. He said that if you have old apparel, particularly those with tan on them, give them to DI, wear them as pajamas, whatever, just leave them home on game day!
