(yes this is a copycat thread)



actually looks like a hardcore football player and the kind of guy you would want on your team. I would not have said that about our last 2 QB's.

I think he will be a good leader for the team. I definitely can't say that about the last 2 guys.



It is a shame that he didn't get into the BSU game earlier, and led a comeback win. That would have been huge for morale, and team unity under the new qb. Bronco and company really screwed the pooch there.

Hill or Lark should have been in at the Utah game from the get go. Riley wasn't ready. And which ever QB played the best against Utah should have started against BSU.

On the criteria of "hardcore" I think Riley definitely qualifies. Have to give credit where credit is due. Nobody fought harder to be on the field than Riley. Whether I like all his tactics or subsequent Bronco's love-fest or not is separate.



Hill to me sort of looks hardcore, but im not sure how flattering that is. I think he would want to be seen as a complete, talented, and hardcore player. But what I think you mean is that he actually looks like a legit D-I football player who has "just enough" size (not to be confused with Riley not having the size) and certainly a lot of speed. I think he has very good arm strength and accuracy, but we will see.



But I certainly believe he could be a much more coomplete college qb than either Heaps or Nelson.

Or at least by halftime when it was very apparent that Riley was not even Riley-- as he now, retroactively admits.

How about "Big, Strong, Fast," etc.? More even than "gritty, elusive, fiery, quick".

Even despite pulling Riley late, BYU still had a chance to win the game.
