Hawaii - The Solution To Everything

There is a game Friday, right?

We have a chance to win it even with struggling OL, FB, RB, and QB. Defense is the key. Happy Valley will be happier if we do and some young bucks may gain some seasoning that will help later.



That solves a lot of things - but not All Things.



So after BYU shows OC Guru turned head coach a BYU defense he has only twice if ever seen in all of time and beats UH without BYU offense having to do much - I suggest this



Beg Norm Chow to step down from the monstrous task he has taken on at UH with inept management - inept like you have never seen - AD complimented and fired the same day last month for example - and come back to Y as OC.



Have fanbase step up with the money to make it happen.



Have Cougar Club find a position at Waterford School for Maile Chow and remind her of the low cost of living here vs Hawaii - she is a very good private high school English teacher - taught my son. Get her husband a job too.



Beg - suck up - grovel - whatever it takes - ie APOLOGIZE



You want the old BYU offense with the new BYU defense - just do it.



Ask Doman to step down to coach QBs while being mentored by Chow until he retires in 2-3 years.

Once I can stop swatting away all these monkeys that are flying out of my butt, I'll respond to the idea of Norm Chow willingly returning to coach at BYU. :roll:

I Loved Chow as the OC of BYU... It was great to be able to sit in the stands and accruately predict twenty to thirty consecutive offensie plays....

The difference is the talent he would work with, especially at QB. Chow could be the Co-head coach. Bronco would recruit and work the defense. Chow gets the offense and makes the calls on 2 point trys and onside kicks.

He clearly improved after that - eh? Maybe still improving. And he did it with a QB and back-up QB that all of you voted as worse than any of our current QBs just a week and a half ago.

I was SOOOO glad to see Chow leave BYU when he did. He was a great OC and did great things after he left but he had grown stagnant. He needed new scenery and BYU needed new blood.



Had Chow stayed at BYU he never would have reached the potential he did elsewhere because elsewhere he was forced to work outside of his comfort zone.

Are you kidding me? Chow has done the OC thing for decades. He finally has a position as HC and in Hawaii no less. There's no way he's going anywhere else, including back to BYU. Not for any amount of money, which he doesn't need anyway.

Please don't confuse the amount of points Utah scored last year with the ability of Norm Chow to be a quality offensive coordinator.



Utah had two defensive touchdowns (down to 40 points) and two other drives starting at the BYU 3 and BYU 6 - which they only got 10 point out of (30 points). They did score 10 more points on drives starting at the BYU 36 and BYU 40. So on 85 yards and 14 plays of offense, Utah scored 34 of their 54 points.
