Did I hear one of the ESPN guys say Mike Muehlman quit the team?

They were also saying that on another forum. Rumor is he thought the coaches were showing favortism towards certain players.

well, with an attitude like that, I'd show some favoritism as well.

Of course Bronco can't take a shot at Meuhlman. But we're probably going to hear Mike's side of the story.

That's too bad. The D is $ this year, but a little depth never hurts.

Yeah, but it was favoritism towards young players like Bronso Kaufusi. We know this can't be true, because BYU only favors upperclassmen instead of better, younger and more talented underclassmen.

Best players should be on the field regardless of age.

Sad thing is, that is exactly the real Broncobot's attitude. And instead of realizing that certain things, such as star players and even non-star players leaving, consistent underachievement vs. Utah, etc. are indicative of at least partial program and coaching failures, Bronco gets puffed up and defensive and has a "we didn't even want you" attitude.

Bronco addressed this pregame with Wrubell. He said work was going well for Mike and that he wasn't seeing the field much so he decided his time could be spent better focusing on his family, work, etc.

Every program has some players leave. Every team STRUGGLES to win out and struggle to beat certain opponents (see USC and stanford).

We are certainly on USC, but Utah, USU, BSU are no Stanford.

The skinny on this is that Muehlmann felt like he had earned hte #2 slot on teh depth chart, and was stronger and more game ready than Bronson Kaufsi was, who just came home from a mission. Might have thought neptism had something to do with it, and Bronson's dad is also the Dline coach.

So based upon that, felt that if he could not crack the two deep this yer, never would, so hung it up.

Wonder if Manu's injury lures him back.
