Football fans vs BYU fans?

It seems like football fans who route for BYU have had enough of the coaching and the losing to the U. The BYU fans who therefore root for the BYU football team still seem to love Bronco and the current performance of the team.



BYU fans state that it isn't Bronco's fault that the poor execution/mistakes of 2-4 plays cost the game. Football fans state that it has been the same story since Bronco took over.



BYU fans are fine with independence and losing to the U as long as we win 9 or 10 games per year. Football fans are tired of being consistently mediocre with nothing to get excited about after the first few games.



I am starting to see this division forming between BYU fans who support the football team and football fans who have BYU as their football team. BYU fans will support BYU no matter what and would never put the blame on or call for the firing of good men. Football fans see the problems with the football side of things and want change, regardless of the quality of the men.



Change is needed. Too many BYU fans getting in the way. What other team in the nation be content with consistent under-performing and losing to your rival in embarrassing fashion 3 straight years! Thanks to independence, these loses, so early in the season, effectively have ended our season.

Interesting theory. I think it has some weight to it.



I said last night to my dad while watching the game that Bronco is lucky that this is a religious institution and he is fulfilling *that* part of the bargain wonderfully, because losing 3 times in a row to your in-state rival is grounds for instant dismissal at almost any other institution in the nation. Especially only being 3 for 8 against a rival.



The only person more excited not to have the Utah/BYU game than (Dr) Chris Hill?



Bronco. Because if he would have lost next year in sloppy fashion like this one it might have cost him his job.

I thought they're playing next year in Provo. Then two year hiatus, and playing at the Rice Chex in 2016.

Nothing has been confirmed. It is still "in negotiation." The same way my daughter getting that pony she wants for Christmas is in "negotiation."

You know, I can honestly see Utah backing out of that one too.



If :utard: does back out of the 2013 game, then BYU needs to tell :utard: to go pound sand for 2016 and any future game.

We will win the rest of our home games and the stupid BYU fans will look back and say "but we beat OSU and USU so it was a great year." idiots. If our expectations are this low then I guess we are seeing the Bronco era at its peak.
