Crowd Noise and Killer Mistakes That Hurt Y

Hostile environment. Had a major impact on the game as far as players hearing coaches from sidelines and along both sides of the line. U seemed poised compared to jittery Y.



We win this game if we eliminate mistakes. Utes had no turnovers - played clean game - they win because Y coughed it up.



Some of the key mistakes that are most notable.



B. Hansen mentioned that U DL were yelling hike right before the hike - throwing off OL for 7 offside penalties. Refs couldn't hear it because of the crowd noise. They would have called penalty if audible. Unfortunately that style threw off the OL timing.



The miscommunication between center (early snap) while Riley audibiling to Hoffman - led to fumble and return for TD.



Missed FG at end was unbelievable - we had chance to tie game; take it into overtime.



As much as this game hurts to lose, I can see this loss being a character builder and the Y rebounding to play well against BSU.

And yet we hear so much about "execution." Ironic, isn't it?

Rice Chex was freakin' rockin' tonight. Made life a living hell for BYU.

Hate to say it but Yewt Fans were truly the 13th man tonight.



Self inflicted mistakes made it very difficult on ourselves - lost composure. 12 penalties were killers.



Seems like the Yewt D line shifting also threw the OL off-balance as well.

I 'm sick and tired of this team building character and rebounding after playing the U.

Bottom line in this game: Utah +2 on turnover margin. We need to eliminate mistakes in order to win.

I love how we hear before the game we need to control the ball and avoid turnovers. Apparently Bronco has watched or read The Secret. :~( Send those vibes out into that Universe :sulk:

Don't forget - we were down 24-7 and could have folded it in and let the game turn into a rout. Next thing you know it is 24-21 with a chance to tie the game. Sorry, the team has character and will not quit. It is light years better than last year's team.

Hooray moral victories!!

Not far enough ahead. Same stories as every year. O-Line is highly touted, under-performs. BYU stoked for Utah game, treats it as another game, get shell-shocked by :utard: intensity.



Bronco has shown that as far as :utard: is concerned, he cannot learn from his mistakes. Bronco-coached teams come out under-prepared every year for this game. It has happened in every year since he has been coach.
