the problem is, so what? Just more of the same. We end with a 10+ win season. Good enough to warrant no big shakeups or changes. Same ol Bronco. Same ol BYU.

Welcome to my world. But many around here and presumably Provo, are seemingly fine with that. Adjust (code for lower) your expectations until the Eagles win a superbowl then we can start a hire Andy Reid campaign :D

All I know is that it's time for word to get out through social media...FIRE WEBER and figure out what to do with Bronco. Winning is not a priority at BYU anymore.

It's a priority but, as long as we're winning 10+ games in given year, that's enough for the powers that be at BYU.

10 wins in the BIG10, BIG12, ACC, SEC, hell even in the PAC12 10 wins is a good season. But in the MWC or playing a bunch of WAC teams, 10 wins just doesn't feel good enough. I am not one that says we have to go a BCS bowl game to be happy. But a win against your rival would be nice. A win against a team that is above 50% would be nice. Not having to hear your coach talk jibberish would be wonderful.

I am not as a fan sure this program is as committed to taking the next step like they talk about as a team like Utah is. I right now as the night goes by am feeling more and more concerned about the future of the program. I am not sure 10-3 is possible but right now.

We will not win 10 games this year. 9 wins is the max we will get and that depends on if we can beat USU. This offense cannot win in tough situations. We have no chance against ND. With the short turnaround I don't give us much change of getting over this game and turning it around to beat BSU at home where they have lost one game in the past 8 years or something like that. We never play well on the east coast so good luck with GT.



I'm ready to develop our future. Get Hill more reps each game for the rest of the year.

I hope we don't win 10 games and finished ranked because it will reinforce to Bronco that his jack-yewt system/mantra/approach are working. I will still cheer for us to win out, but when we inevitably lose 3-4 more games, I won't be too upset about it because Bronco is such a prideful guy that he'll only be able to humbled with major embarrasment.



2013 will be a doozy. Maybe we'll win 4 or 5.

With this lose, I think most of us are realizing we very well may lose to USU this year, which will be three years that they have outplayed us, all while going 0-3 against the U, and we may actually fall to the ugly step-sister #3 program in the state. That is not acceptable. Even if we won every game this year except for Utah and USU, it would be a failure of a season to me. We have to be #1 in this state, or at least close to, if we went the future of a program to remain bright.



If we lose to USU this year, I will sign a fire Bronco petition. If football is our #5 priority, our #1 priority in football HAS TO BE beat Utah and beat USU. In-state domination has to be a top priority for the future of this program.



With no conference and getting dominated by in-state schools for three straight years, I am very very nervous and scared fr our future!

The rivalry isn't perceived by most fans like it used to be. As long as we win 8 or 9 games it doesn't matter that Utah owns us. Who cares that Utah St is a formidable opponent? As long as we roll over the patsy part of our schedule all is well. Utah and their fans understand the meaning of the rivalry far better than BYU and our fans do. This is tragic to me as I used to ask myself if I hate Utah more than I love BYU (half jokingly, but you get the point).

BYU is unique. We know that. But one reason where we are unique that we seem to forget is BYU's board of directors aren't a bunch rich alumni and winning games isn't the priority. Bronco doesn't answer to the fans.



When he got the job, Bronco was told the brethren don't care about winning or losing. They care about spreading the gospel.



Now, you could make a case that by winning the gospel gets spread, but by no means will BYU trade winning for controversy. Crowton got fired not because he lost, but because he tarnished BYU's image and impeded the gospel. We fans like to think it was because he lost games, but it was just coincidence.



Bronco can have losing seasons and not lose his job. The brethren could care less about booster support (there is plenty of money), they could care less about apathetic fans, and certainly don't care one bit about disgruntled fans as long as BYU maintains its image and is a vehicle for spreading the good word.



Bronco doesn't answer to fans or boosters.

Bunch of pansies on right now. Seriously. I want BYU to succeed and to win every remaining game. 11-1. Probably not probable, but still possible.



Look, we all are tired of losing to Utah. It sucks. Badly. But we all know that our offense is limited right now. Just is. RN has heart, but also has limitations. He can not make all the throws, he is not a prototypical BYU QB that we are used to seeing. For some, that is a difficult thing to mentally grasp. IT also does not help that our Oline has struggled the last 2 seasons, that we have been turnover prone in big games, and that we have lost them.



I still have faith that this gets turned around. The progress is there, but it will take more time. The changes will pay off, the better recruitng will pay off.



If BYU goes 0-4 in the 4 big roadies this year though, I change my tune. But I give Bronco time to go 2-2 in those games. Needs to happen.

The best BYU can hope for is 1-2 in those games. The emotional and physical toll on this team right now, combined with the worst o-line I have seen at BYU in years (and they just might get worse with Reynolds out as hard as that is to believe), and add to that, that we are playing BSU on the road who has lost three home games in the last 78, we have about a 5% chance of winning this game. It will be 21-10 and might be a blowout if we run out of steam in the 4th qtr.



ND is much better than I thought they would be. I give us the same chance as the BSU game.



Our LB's will neutralize the GT option, but given how poorly we play when we travel to the east coast, I give us about a 10% chance.



USU will be tougher than we thought, but their O isn't great and we are more in their heads than the other way around. OSU, I still don't know about because they really haven't played anyone. Saturday will tell me everything I need to know.



Wazzu and Weber St. have shown that we can't use them to show what our team really is. They are both horrible.

Against Michigan State, they got the run shut down and scored exactly 0 TDs. Because their QB was not good enough to win it. And against Miami(OH), they ran it down their throats, which they should od against a team with Dline players that are 260, and ILBs that are 210. Do you honestly expect them to do that to us? I do not htink t hat is gonna happen. BSU is avergae this year, Utah is probably better. BSU is nowhat they were, down year, they are beatable, just as TCU did to them last year in Boise. And this BSU team is not nearly as good or talented as that team was.



As to GT, again, VTech punked them, so that game is easily winnable. But ND will be tough. Said it was our toughest game before the year, still think it will be.



I like our chances Thursday night. More than I like them agaist Utah.

You're funny. I have watched BSU. They aren't great compared to past years. To say Utah is better is laughable, but just keeping with the theme here. They will have a losing record in the Pac12 again.



The problem is two fold, but since you didn't read what I wrote, and just decided to get your panties in a wad, I'll say it again: We will lose, not because BSU is incredible this year, but because they have an amazing home record and we will still be hung over, emotionally and physically, from Saturday. BSU will be ready to play us. Very ready.



I could easily be wrong. Hope I am. But I called Saturday exactly. Thursday will play out the same way.
