Where'd Nitro go?

????? saw a few series of hurry up, nothing close to the nitro that we threw at WSU and WSU.

Nitro went to a little place called "False Start"

What happened is whenever we went to the Nitro, any time we would run up the middle the Utah player making the tackle would get "injured" and stop play while he was attended to and escorted off the field, only to return after one missed play.



That shennanigan frustrated Nelson and Doman and got in their heads, so they went away from it.

Poor coaching. Lack of mental strength. Probably some imitating the snap count by the defense (again, a coaching error for not going to a silent count).

Bush league stuff that Yewtah does, faking injuries and barking snap counts from the D-line. Just gotta know it's coming and prepare for it, we know that KWhitt with do anything to win and has zero class.

Agreed. Credit utah for knowing exactly what they had to do to escape with a win, then executing it. Their offense did just enough. Their defense capitalized on mistakes, their coaches know our tendencies and how to disrupt our rhythm. Much to my chagrin.

Agreed. Credit utah for knowing exactly what they had to do to escape with a win, then executing it. Their offense did just enough. Their defense capitalized on mistakes, their coaches know our tendencies and how to disrupt our rhythm. Much to my chagrin.

They do it in the NFL--last year the Rams went on a really whiny tirade after the Giants did it on MNF, and the league issued a league wide reminder that they could be penalized for it.

But in the current injury climate do you really think any referee is going to pass judgment on anyone down on the field, decide they're faking, and then throw a flag?? Can you imaging the fallout if it was a legitimate injury? It's something that's subject to a penalty, but no ref who values his job is ever going to flag it, no matter how obvious.

I saw two injuries. One of them was questionable, the other looked like a definite legit injury (Friel rocking that safety's shoulder).

This is what makes it so abhorrent, it devalues actual injuries that happen on the field and actually further compromises player safety. I hated it when teams pulled this crap vs. Oregon and I hate that it happened tonight. Taking advantage of the fact that safety is the one thing that comes before fairness on an officials priority list is despicable in my mind.

Was thinking the same. If Riley and the OL can't hear at Utah and get plays off, it will be no better at BSU.
