Season Done

With one loss, we're once again headed to the Armed Forces bowl against some other average team.



Season just lost all its meaning.



We'll win 6 more games regardless of who's at QB. I say play Hill. Love Riley and his heart, but his heart just isn't enough. Mental mistakes and poor throwing plague his career. I'd rather watch a young QB make some mistakes and learn from them than a Senior QB continue to make the same ones over and over and over.

Then don't watch anymore games, we'll see on the basketball forums. Cheers!

I certainly won't watch them live, except for the one I'm going to in November.



Thank goodness for Basketball. At least with hoops we have a team that can beat the Utes...oh...and actually compete on a national level.

Seasons not over if the only thing you have is a BCS bowl game then its time for you to start rooting for a Alabama or LSU. Yes the polish has been dulled a bit but there's still plenty of games to be played and a lot left to play for. Atleast thats what the talking head at BYU wants you to think.

I don't agree with this thread at all. It's a shameful, pathetic loss but the season ain't done.

Everyday- gameday. 8)

I'll enjoy the big games because they are still somewhat intriguing on a national level, but yeah no reason to watch the sissy November games, even though SJSU might beat us.

Okay...what's left to play for besides an Armed Forces bowl bid? Which, we'll get unless the wheels come completely off. Being ranked doesn't do anything for us. It's just something to help you feel good about yourself.



To me, from here on out, it should be about preparing for next season. Get your future QB some playing time. Fire your OL coach and get a new one so they can get some game-time experience and prepare for next season when you'll have a shot at doing something.



That's the reality. One loss as a non-BCS team gets you the same thing as 6 - 5. We'll get 6 wins regardless of who's QB.

You're making two separate points here.



On the second, I largely agree with you. May as well give Hill as much playing time as possible.



As to the first point, as much as we all want it, going undefeated and getting a BCS berth isn't all it's about. It's still about winning the rest of our games and finishing with the best record possible.

Not the armed forces bowl this year...Poinsettia.



I'd start Riley on Thursday...If we don't win, it's time to say thanks for the memories (USU, getting our prized #1 recruit to transfer) and move on to the future.
